I myself own a 02 and i just bought my girl an 01... the car is great but a little weak on the power side so dont buy it for that reason unless you plan to drop some coin on it. The tranny problems in the 01 it had a recall on... this is pretty common and can be taken in if the car hasnt been repaired already. The suede interiors i cant stand in both of the cars... if i had the choice id look for the preferated leather which is very sexy IMO... they are correct when they mention the 02 and up only offer the manual tranny... the manuals are actually pretty rare because of the Eshift being a nice feature they wanted to introduce on these cars. The 01 suspension is about .50-.75 lower then the 02+ so the stance is a little more aggressive with less wheel gap the first year offered. I havent had 02 sensor problems yet but i understand the fucker has 4 of them and they arent cheap. An O2Sim can cover two of them when they fail but thats about it. Another common problem is the indash 6 disc changer loves to jam and not give you your Culture Club CD back! (bitch)...

Thanks. I'm not too worried about the height difference, I'll probably lower it a little anyways. Power is another non-issue. I had a weak car before(LS Integra) so I'm used to weak cars, and right now I want a nice car, not something to modify. Thanks for the info on the O2 sensor guys.

Well, if you're looking at IS300s, you should also look into E46 BMW 3-series. Get a used one at a dealership and it comes with a 6 year/100,000 mile warranty.

Thats an idea. I work at CF Toyota, so I get teh discountz at BMW. I drove a E46 a while ago when I was a lot attendant. It was very nice. The 4 doors are a little cramped though IMO. That warranty sounds nice though. I'm not sure if I could fit a E46 into my budget as well as I can the IS300. Maybe I'll take a look before work tomorrow.
