it doesn't monitor anything, it just bumps up fuel pressure to at the regulator to let less gas back to the tank when you are spraying, theoretically increasing the amount of fuel going through the injectors since there is more pressure behind it. this works up to a point. if you are going to spray a 75 shot, i highly recommend at least upgrading your fuel pump to bump up base fuel pressure. just because your friend is running the same set up on a b16 means absolutely shit. each motor is different and will withstand different amounts of stress for different lengths of time before letting go. would you rather pay 70 bucks and be safe, or take the chance of blowing up an $800-$1200 motor?

here's a weird one. everything is hooked up right( got the green light on the zex box), but it won't work with a fresh bottle (950psi), but it worked with a lnear epty bottle(300 psi). I believe the fuel pressure is probably inadequate for such a large shot on stock motor. taking suugestions aboput where to buy new pump and reg.

uh, if the fuel pressure is inadequate you'll know it because you'll burn valves or blow a headgasket lol.

i believe the way this box works is that it won't let you run it lean and that's why it's not working with fresh bottle. it worked fine with a near empty bottle cause there was enough fuel pressure to compensate. i'm ordering a regulator with gauge today. it ought to be here next week. then i'll find out for sure if i'm wrong.

alright man, i ran this kit for over a year. the box ain't fuckin smart. it just controls how much vacuum you see at the regulator, THATS IT. its not gonna keep you from blowing your motor, or do anything to help keep it from throwing a rod through the block. i've blown up a motor with it when a vacuum line blew off the box. if you overspray, and go lean, you're popping a headgasket. that is why its so important to take precautions to make sure the fuel system is taken care of before you go tryin to drop a big shot on a motor.
