like most people said, dealerships. though the places ive gone to were good. McPhersons in poquoson is where my family usually takes any vehicle for any kind of maintenance. then theres a place waaay down on jefferson right before you hit mercury that passed me last year even though i had shitty brakes and bald tires.

I'll probly need to come over there......I'm buying a Nissan 240SX tomarrow, the owner at the moment, had it inspected today @ 3200 Holland Rd. in VaBeach and he just called me and said it failed........He said theres a leak on the exhaust, somewhere where the header meets the exhaust, and something about the rear brakes..........

says it it'll be about a $200 fix...........So what should I do now........cuz I'm pretty sure I still want the car......It was gonna be $2000 but now it'll be $1800 due to the repairs.

Alright, its me again..........I just called back the seller and he says

The car needs
1. new rear brake pads
2. a new pinion on the passenger side of the car
3. the muffler needs to be re-welded

This doesn't sound so horrible to the point that I should look for a different car, but what do you all think I should do........I know brake pads are easy, I guess the exchaust is easy as well........but what about the pinion on the passenger side?

What should I do guys?
for reference......It's a 1990 Nissan 240SX Fastback

Thanks again

You'd be better off at a Nissan dealership.

place not to go

1) western auto - they tried to tell me my OEM hood scoop and attempted to fail me for it. The staff were also very rude and condescending about the situation.

2) Kramer tire by the hallmark next to k-mart. It's close by the house so i thought i would take it there. It took them 3 hours to get it done. I came back when they said it should be done and it was still parked infront. I decided to wait in the parking lot in my girlfriends car because i had nothing else to do and i saw just about everyone that worked there take the car for a spin. They were revving it up, cracking jokes about the car being an import. Slammin the brakes going in and out of the bay...just completely abusing the car. I went in there and spoke to management and they just said "oh, well...we'll take care of it". So fuck them.
