Definatly. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying it was his fault at all. I'm just saying i thought it was a bit unfair to blame the track for his misfortune.

Hope he gets everything worked out. Just curious, what kind of car was it? How fast does it normally run?

Wow, thats something I'm always afraid of seeing whenever I go to the strip.. I have never seen any accidents, just some very very close calls and extreme traction issues lol.. I'm sure glad he made it through that.. Guess that really shows the upsides of roll cages!

Hope he feels better..

How did the throttle get stuck? I usually see most carbbed cars have several return springs on the throttle arm, a bind in the line or somethin?

IF I remember correctly, I think it was a Nova II. The run where he lost it, he ran a 6.65...without the bottle. It was wired/plumbed up for a, correct me if I'm wrong, a 200shot I believe.

Dont know the guy but hope everything works out for him. Its no fun getting crossed up let alone going over. Thankfully Ive only had it happen once at Rockingham in my old chevelle.

Broke a pass side axle at ~200' (no C-clip elims....stupid me ), hit the wall and went on my lid. If it wasnt for the roll cage I would have gotten more than a bruised ego and a need for a pair of clean shorts .

Anyways, hope the guy is ok and gets his car back togeather.

thats racing.

glad he wasnt killed, there have been more that werent so lucky.

just think about what could have happened vs. what did, and you will sit there and thank every last source you can find. situations like that bring out the true driver, not just one that thinks they can. was the car tech'ed before the run?

and for those that still think that doing this on the street is cool: ponder for one moment what if this happened on the street? being on the strip is the most controlled situation, and stuff still happens.

keep that in yer head.

for getting out on his own. i'm wondering how many serious injuries we will have this NHRA season
