Need Bimmer help!
After doing a lot of digging, I've found out that the 325i head will bolt right up. I don't even have to swap the cam out. I'm sort of kicking myself now because if I took the entire intake manifold (with throttle body, injectors, fuel rail, etc. ) I would gain like 40+ hp! You need a chip to bump the rev limiter and re-map the fuel and timing curves, but some people are saying you can get close to 200 hp with this setup. It's a pretty popular swap to do. I need to look into chipping it now!
I agree. I was assuming the 200 hp was at the flywheel. I just cleaned the head up today and it looks great. I'm going to drop it off at the shop on Monday and have them start installing it. I may swap the rest of the 325i goodies on down the road. I want to see how it runs with just the head swapped first.
