Are you serious? The R34 is nowhere NEAR any of those cars for production times. Like not even close to being near them.

Even though I'm not a big Skyline fan, he is right. It actually held the record by several seconds for a production car.

Since when? The Carrera GT, 997 Porsche GT3, Ford GT, and 06 z06 are the current top 4 in production cars, all with times of 7:40 or BELOW. The R34 never came anywhere close to that.

I beleive the Porsche 996 turbo was the first production car to get a better time than the R34.

What was the time? I know the C5 Z06 and the NSX R both had 7:56 lap times in 2001 when the c5z06 came out.

Here's a list:

I'm not sure when the GT-R time was recorded, but I'm sure it was pre 2000.

My car beat it.

So basically, the skyline r34 never held the fastest production car lap time. The M coupe ran faster in 1998, the F355 ran faster in 1997, The Porsche 993 Turbo was faster, and they produced them before they produced the skyline.

Alright, I googled the R-34 and the first year of production is 1998.

The time it got at the ring was a 7:52, but that time is not in the list I found, so I dont know what the hell is going on.

I've heard that too, but from what I heard it was a Blitz tuned skyline and noone has any proof that it was stock, and speculation that is was far from stock. Thats why I discredited that in favor of the other two times which were done by the same tester as all of the rest of them.
