I always thought moonroof was the one that kinda jutted out the top of your car but never fully opened, and sunroof actually slid back and opened up.. and i have seen both tinted, but now that i think of it, I have never seen what i think of as a moonroof without tint.. odd..

actually, a moonroof is the one that slides back and the sunroof just props up - I've had both and i could see outta both of them although some are tinted and some are not....blah blah blah..... i could go on forever about stupid moonroofs. hahaha....just my .02.

They are the same thing. Sunroof is a generic term and sometime along the car building years Ford called it a moonroof. You are both wrong and it's a tie.
TECHNICALLY... a sunroof can be any type of panel that lets sun or air in the roof of a car... and a moonroof has always been glass. But that doesn't help anyone win the argument.
