SR20DET questions
true, i'm doing everything i can to make this a daily driven car...which is why i'm running everything to keep detonation, ping, and knock away from my engine...and plus, the T28 is good for up to 300hp...that's my mark anyway, because the Cobra MAF only has enough signal for about 350hp, and my injectors are only good till about 350hp too...w/ jim wolf technology's reprogrammed ECU i won't need any piggy back fuel control...i just purchased a GReddy Profec B w/ steering wheel mounted high/low switch, hehe this thing's pretty cool...im not one for massive top end, i'd rather hook up off the line with sub 2 second 60ft times than have to wait till 3500rpm just to have my tires screaming for traction...this is a daily driver guys, let's keep our mind's off the drag strip...Auto-X guys are welcome however, i'm going to need help tuning my suspension
Actually, when I install my intercooler, I will ping more... colder air - more oxygen same amount of gas... PING!
And did I stutter when I said 10hp, if that? If you go and tune the car after the intercooler install, hell yeah, you can make all kinds of power.. but just slapping an IC on will do didly cept change the temp of the air and make you ping if the car has been setup for the hotter less dense air....

keep in mind this car's going to be a daily driver...i'm not in it to make huge power, so thus i'm sticking with the ball bearing t28...

i contacted Jim Wolf Technology about the Cobra MAF, and they are reprogramming my ECU for it, i just have to get their adapter kit to splice into the wiring harness...

Just curious, why did you choose a Cobra MAF over a 300ZX one?

as for brakes, Project u rotors and Project u HC titanium pads...i may or may not stick with the 4 lug hub, and if i don't stick with it, i'm going to switch to 300zx tt front brakes

FYI...there is a world of difference between a 300ZX brake conversion and a Project Mu kit. The 3Z swap is a minor brake upgrade, for those who want better brakes at low cost. The Project Mu setup is in a whole other (better) class, and you WILL PAY to be in that class!

Unless you're well under 10PSI it's pretty must stupid not to have one. You're losing TONS of power to heat up the air to that pressure.

Pretty interesting. I am sure every case is different though. I still recommend using one though, just for long-term maintenance; not necessarily to expect a power gain.

but different cars act differnet and on a sr20, I would use a blow off or bypass.. either one works

Looks like there's a good market for my side mounts when I get my FMIC.
