Damn rain!
my shit was hydroplaning at 40 mph going down sliding hill... i have only seen rain come down like that once before, when there was standing water on the interstate.
Here's a breakdown:
Hired in June 05. Told I'd be moved to apprentice when new shop opened.
New shop opens Dec 05. Moved to apprentice (yay.)
New oil changers are douchebags. Demoted for no reason other than lack of employees.
Promoted again. Demoted again, lack of employees.
Promise tech school in August, fully paid for. Woot.
August comes and goes. School cancelled; delayed until November-December with us paying.
Rumors of school being delayed until next year.
And on top of that, they know I'm disgruntled about doing oil changes (because I've been demoted TWICE without reason, they have FOUR people doing them and I spent THOUSANDS on tools to do tech work,) and they offer to make me a "oil change manager." I accept because it's a raise... However, I feel like it's kind of a slap in the face.
Hence, I'm job hunting. I can do most basic work; oil changes (obviously,) tires, brakes, suspension, alignments. Working on getting my S.I. license. Holler.
(I am completely open to other job fields, as long as pay is decent - $10/hr +)
