There is less than a 50lb. difference in a B16 longblock and the H22 longblock. Just to help you back up your statment.

For the thread starter, imagine B16, B17, or B18C-R gears on your H22 setup. Imagine putting the JDM Type-r final drive in any of those. It would be sick, and cheaper than a K swap. A very, very nice N/A setup that I don't think anyone on this board has done yet. B2H

Every since honda tuning mag put that section about droping a k20 in a crx i always wanted to do one but at the time i had a 93 coupe and a 91 crx with no title and i had no money. I wound out selling the 91 crx on ebay and was planning on dropping a k20 in the coupe but my retarded self sold it and got an eclipse(biggest mistake ever) needless to say my coupe went to hell after i sold it to my boy. It went from looking like shit to semi nice looking when i had it.... pictures of it attached. only thing is i don't have pictures of how it looks now but it basically went back to where it was before.

it is not a myth.. the H22 is almost 40lbs heavier.. then the heaviest B-series (GSR). & the K20 is actually lighter the any of the b-series. & yes turbo B-series will be the best power per doller.

All the Honda swaps have thier advantages. It's all in what you like and want out of a car. remember the H22 you have is bought and paid for. you can sink a bit more into a turbo swap and get a big boost in performance. More than just swapping a N/A K into the car. Also it is able to support a moderate amount of boost without any modifications at all. One of our techs had a H22 hatch with a bone stock engine, even stock headgsket, that hit 412 at the wheels, safely. It was just a nice fun car to drive. Not much money in the setup. Also keep in mind the great potential from the k series in general, stock to frankenbeast k24's deliver great N/A potential. However I personally don't agree with boosting one to and large degree without upgrading the crank and oiling system. The nice thing about that is there are plenty of options available over the counter now to do just that. I would recommend doing what YOU like. Don't follow what someone else says you should do. It's your money, spend it YOUR way. If you ever get down to Colonial Beach stop by our shop. We can show you a couple of examples of H and K options you can do. Hope this helps, Dave Brauning. www.BrauningMotorsports.com (804) 224-9530
