Also, make sure you've had a recent tune up. Plugs/wires/cap/rotor/fuel filter.
I just changed my 02 senser because of a check engine light and when the O2 was bad it didnt do anything to my car. It cant be the EGR because the EGR would still be functioning when the check engine light is on.. THe car only messes up when the light is OFF so im thinking tps.. Couldnt I just unhook the EGR and not even worry about it? Hell the EGR in the 5.0 isnt hooked up.

But then if you new more about what an egr does, what functions it serves, and what may happen when parts of the system are not working properly. Then you may have known that. The only reason I mentioned it, is due to the fact that I have had to fix several of these.
What needs to be done to unclog the EGR ports?? Would i be fine just plugging the system?

always look for the simple stuff before going into the major things. plugs and wire could be the problem. i had that same problem b4. it would hesitate, then later on after driving it around the problem would go away.

then it got worse. i changed the plugs and wires and it was no more. try doing that first.
