Jason and I started working on it last week. We are just waiting for the SR to
arrive.

Thanks Eugene for chiming in. As Eugene stated we are waiting on the SR to complete the swap, but I appreciate the replies.

Have you guys completed the swap yet? My motor just arrived and I will be starting on the install after Thanksgiving however It's been a long time since I've assisted with one of these swaps and I'm extremely rusty. I'm pretty confident I can do the wiring since I work as an electronic repair tech. I would love to come assist if nothing else to at least gain the experience be4 I start tearing into my car. I won't be around till after thanksgiving but just lemme know if the swap is still happening. If not I may need some assistance with my own swap and if so I will pay for your time. BTW I live right near langley but I have my own garage and most tools.

We got the engine in but we still have a few more things we have to do to complete the swap. It should hopefully be completed tomorrow afternoon. Eugene is the man to talk to about assistance since he knows everything about the swap. I could tag along and help if you want since most of it is still fresh in my mind.
Did JDM-online send you a Hicas power steering pump? We had to custom fit the bracket for the old Ka pump to be used which wasted a lot of time.
I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

I was more or less judging from the horrible wiring in the 240 I bought off you, everything was half assed and it looked like complete shit. The heat shield may not be necessary from a bottom mount / stock turbo but for the setup you were running it was - seeing as how the BMC shows signs of melting.

Not sure if its hicas or not... they sent me an intact hardline tho. My KA has a brand new power steering hardline as well. Like I said Ive helped with one of these swaps be4 but that was 4 years ago and I never thought I'd be doing my own. I'll be gone for thanksgiving weekend but the weekend after I'm gonna try and pull my KA as long as I can find a hoist (I'm pretty sure my friend has one). Possibly drop the SR as well... I'm really in no huge hurry to get this done and I'd like to do it 110%. My only issue right now is that I purchased the motor and waited for it to arrive and have yet to order ne other parts (i wanted to make sure I got a good motor first). The motor seems to check out fine so I'm gonna be putting a big order in during T-giving break. Most parts ship out pretty fast ne way. BTW how nice is the garage on base... my gf has a military ID and I think I could just do it there to avoid the chance of not having certain tools. Also the power in my garage is currently absent becuz of the dumbass power company is supposed to be hooking it back up next week (thats what they told me last week too). If I get power I got a badass air compressor.

btw just outta curiosity what kinda SR did you order and whom did you order it through? If you got a redtop check and see if its an older or newer one cuz mines the older one 90-92 the newer ones 93-94 have some sort of heatsink deal going on. I was hoping for a newer one

Oh, thought they put SR's in some of the later 90s?
