I have to get used to driving the evo also. I missed second a few times and third once today playing with the zappas boys. I have been spoiled by Honda transmissions. The Evo shifts very smooth, but the clutch's friction point is almost ambiguous. Again I am used to a beefier clutch on a gsr tranny.

 

Props to all those in my corner....

To Camaro boy up top, please son, stop talking out of your ass! The EVO will kick your tail, we're not talking car lenghts, maybe bus lengths, not to mention that overall handling, speed, stopping, etc, etc.....puts your car to shame.

Lets talk facts:

Stock:

3500 rpm hits 19.4 psi
6000 rpm hits second phase 16 psi, so ya'll get the numbers straight

Best stock tested 0-60 recorded 4.75 sec
Best stock quarter recorded 13.57 sec



And, as to shifting this thing. Hell yeah....friction point is weird on this one. Second and third are still rough. I haven't missed third yet, but hit her hard a couple of times. Fourth goes in smooth each and every time. Downshifting is rough as the rpms climb down slowly. But, I still only have 45 miles on it. I'm sure Ill get used to her soon.

Victum you see the charts on boost controlled STI's yet? Making good power but boost drops all the way back down to 14.7 at redline, IMO its the ECU, the turbo should only drop 1psi to redline
