The Thomas Knight electric supercharger is the only legit electric supercharger out there. Even that being said, I would rather prefer a standard supercharger or turbo kit. The way it works is just not what I want in a car. It might be ok for drag racing, but for AutoX or road racing or anything that requires constant power, its not worth it.

Cool design though.

To be honest...I've thought about it a few times as the last option with the currently 2.0L build. But the problem with this electric supercharge is that it does work. In fact it works sooo well that it will kill your battery if subjected to any prolong runs. I do believe they warn you about this.
So Sethmo, you're right about the drag racing...which is why I have not bought one.
Now as far as being worth it? I would simple say that anything dyno proven to make any real power would be worth it. I mean, everyone under the sun buys the standard intake, header and exhaust. How did those items compare dollar vs horsepower to this item. You may be surprised.

Is it like a real supercharger? NO
Is it like a turbo? NO
Will it get me laid? NO, but HELL NO!!!

As you can see here I modified my electric supercharger with a Intercooler system!!!
The reason why I had to add Intercooler was because I added an extra battery, ("let her eat" ) making it 24volts going to the electric supercharger vs. 12volts; this caused the electric supercharger to triple in ouput, but the air was very hot so I had to cool her down!!!

What I have found is that when combining electric supercharger with a tornado!!! you have a very fast setup making big powergains... only downfall is that the techs @ the track might put you in a higher category since you will now have "2" power-adders//// also you might have traction issues if you don't have slicks ..
