For the most part eD has very respectalbe products but their shady buisness practices in the past have put a bad taste in alot of peoples mouth and that is why i will never purchase or promote eD but with that said i know off the top of my head that eDead is know for very poor adhesion, thier 9.X amp lineup are know to get very hot, eu-700's are very well know for overrated x-maxx, and lets not forget the k series sub fiasco (basiclly started selling new design with very questionable quality and of course they sucked and eD took forever to correct ) ... i experienced this first hand

it's fine if you want to get dumb loud

 

this all goes back to what kind of sound do u like

would u like to actually listen to music or just feel the rumble and piss off the neighbors

 

it also has to do with how much room you have for a box and how much power you want to put to the sub

the like around 3ft^3 and lots of power but they can still have decent sq but i have herd of them having problems with the cone riping off of the surround but thats on a ton of power

but its still a good sub and will get really loud
