ALWAYS torque to spec....especially your wheels, don't use an air gun or you may be sacrificing those new rotors you bought. Borrow a torque wrench, or if you wanna work on it while I'm there for STN, I'll bring my torque wrench w/ me (I should also be down there the weekend before that).

Yeah, that's not the cheapest tool. But has become invaluable as frequently as I've had to take off my wheels. If you don't forsee a frequent need for one, I'd save the $70 or so and just borrow one. Like I said, I'll be there in 2 weeks and can bring mine if you need to use it.

Eric,
When you put that PBC grease on the shims, apply it sparingly. They are VERY jewish on that shit and you have just enuff to coat both sides of each shim if you don't over-spread it. It's supposed to be some of the best brake grease made,so may be it's expensive and that's why they're so stingy with it. But there's just enuff. That stuff is very messy; I suggest wearing a surgical glove if you're gonna apply it with your fingers. Took forever to get that shit outta my fingernails.

Also, I sprayed some Brake Quiet on the back of my pads before I attached the shims and installed. Haven't heard a peep from my front brakes since.
