True I could have stayed at my same pace and let him hit the front end, but knowing that he looked either Mexican or a Habib I questioned if he had insurance and my girl was in the car, fairly new car and lots of trees around. Even though he was being an ass I don't know if he would have survived a head on with a tree doing well over 65mph. Now if I was in my Jeep Wrangler we might have a different story and let him taste the bark of the tree.

 

I much prefer watching races live over watching it on tv.. It's a different type of experience, as with anything live.

We're all very morbid people though because the wrecks are the best part! lol

 

I believe the official term is PIT maneuver. Stands for Pursuit Intervention Technique. But, I have heard it called many things as well. I do know that the outcome is usually not good. My GF had that done to her by an escort on 581. She went accross 3 lanes and into the wall, not too good!

I'm sure you've seen the video of the 15 year old kid driving the stolen Mustang, right? Pretty amazing! They performed like 3-4 clean pit maneuvers on the kid and he somehow kept his composure and kept it on the road. I forget how it ended, but it seemed like he was going to keep going and going.

 

yes,that video is awesome!has the Dukes of Hazzard theme song playing,then they hit the Dixie horn and the duke boys give the "YYEEEEHHAAAAAA!!!11!!" right as the Mustang goes through the ditch.good stuff.i think it was a V6 car too.
