WTF double post

 

What did the oil look like?????

Did the pump go out completly while driving it????
Id look at the only and worry about bearings.......


This is where it all begins.....
rebuild it stock or go with better
Rods,
ARP everything
Pistons,
rings,
bearings,
Cam,
lifters,
valve springs

The list goes on LOL

 

Im gonna go look at it with him tommorow, see if we notice any damage. He says he was 64 south, oil pressure just plummeted and then he started hearing ticking/knocking and immediately pulled over. Got a 300 dollar tow from NoVa or wherever he was on the highway.

We'll see, if the engine really is toast Ill be sure to corrupt his mind with various upgrades

#2 bearing is toast...

 

Time to start saving..... at least put it back togeather with ARP rodbolts, main studs, head studs, better rods, and pistons.....

Im either thinking that or an ls2 out of a gto or something. Do you guys know any good engine shops around here, someone that could do a nice performance rebuild?

 

I know Whistler had Steen do his 408ci LS1.....
