stock exhaust=quiet; however, stock and hi-flow........oxymoron.
if you already have a cat-back, sell it and buy a vibrant universal muffler and have some one put some custom 2 1/2 in piping on for you. they're low profile, cuz they're black, and quiet. i've got one on my turbo teg with full 3in exhaust and it's quieter that it was when i first got it (stock header, stock cat, and apexi n1 2 1/2 in cat-back).

I'm trying to find the cheapest way, hence looking for a stock muffler. Chris Tucker back in Va is building me a race motor for this car and then it's coming off the road. I'm not worried about losing a hp or two right now.

an SP2 is a fairly quiet exhaust as far as aftermarket honda exhausts go. I just don't like the big chrome tip or the sound it does make. I'd rather just have a stock muffler.

I have no plans of getting rid of the cat while I'm out here. I know what turbos do to exhaust sound, but I'm not boosting the car out here just so I can get a quieter exhaust.
No I'm not looking for gains. I've got a poor man's type R in a 92 hatch with a greddy SP2 exhaust right now. I just want quiet. If an LS is more restrictive than a GSR I'm not going to go for it, but I've got a kit wanting to get rid of his LS muffler.
All I want is stock quiet sound without giving up TOO much flow. I'll take advice on a super quiet aftermarket muffler too of you've got it.
Your Greddy SP2 is loud? Mine is quiet as a bitch unless I am really on it. I love the tone of it. How many resonators do you have?
