Synthetic. But when the car was made in 94, synthetics were not as widely used and I'd assume they were calling for those intervals with regular oil.

I do mine every 5,000 because it's easy for me to remember.

You should take a sample of the oil you take out at 3k and send it to Blackstone labs for an actual oil analysis... they'll send you back a detailed report and tell you how your motor is wearing and how much longer you could have actually gone.
I'm just saying for those that think 15k oil changes are crazy.

I do every 3000 miles or once a year in the SS...

Well, i do 15k with the amsoil. i love it, no leaking or anything either.

Audi does (or did) do that as well. All scheduled mantainence is included during the warranty period.

Nope, as long as you have to factory warranty, you get the maintenance plan. Inspection I and IIs are ~$2000 from a dealer.

20w-50 regular oil every 3000miles with oem mitsu filter keeps my engine happy.
