I used to work for them a while back. I have to say its a great door opener in the IT field. With the amount of things you tackle on the HD especially with AD in windows. Not to mention the gaining of a security clearance that will open the gates even more for you. I wouldnt be where I am now(Lockheed) if it wasnt for them no lie. Plus some of the friends I know there either went up to the NOC or somewhere else (Quantico) outside of norfolk. Some even went further outside and took other jobs that paid 6 digit figures. The only hard thing I saw there was I64-I564 traffic which I totally hated. I slept in the parking lot in my car at 5am and reported to work at 6am. Thats leaving my house at 4:30am just to avoid the traffic.

Almost worked for them in Ft Eustis. From what I here they are good company. And what everyone says is true. HD is what it all starts. I started at a HD back in 97(32kl) and worked and moved around and now make a 140k a yr. Good luck with your endeavor. Just dont get frustrated and be vigilant about your work.

When i got out of the navy with a clearance, talked to acouple like Northrop Grumman and others but no takers.
