VA sux!!!!!!!!!!All I can say is dont lift it or lower it or change the exhaust from the factory! O and deff dont speed.O yea and almost forgot a tint ticket will run you 285 bones.
let's see... most accessible road course? honestly i'm not sure if vir or summit point is closer, but either way from what i've heard you're looking at 5-6 hours either way. i have also heard (by now you've probably guessed i've never been there) that they are worth the trip though if you're into (and can afford) the whole road racing bit.
oh yeah, nearest drag strip's an hour and a half away too... again, it's a close call but i believe richmond is closer, but virginia motorsports park is a nicer facility at not much farther out at dinwiddie by petersburg. that i do know from personal experience.
welcome to the site, much entertainment to be found here in many varieties. as far as the virginia sucks thing, it is ALWAYS what you make it, you can listen to these shallow folk who of course can see no further than their own experiences and thus relate everything to the fact that they don't like it here, or you can come to your own conclusion. i will concede that there is virtually no scene here anymore, however... i guess the closest place to meet decent people and not get mixed up with the whole ricer invasion is to go to jenro's on a saturday afternoon out here in virginia beach. i don't know of any quality night time meet spot, and don't think there will be another in the foreseeable future.

Yea, BLACKOUT is right. VIR is probably a nicer track but Summit Point is also a great place. I have to agree, Va Motorsports Park is a better drag race facillity, my Camaro is about 2 tenths faster there than Richmond, so I prefer it. As for autocrossing, you have NASA, SCCA, Tidewater Sports Car Club and VMSC in Richmond. The best place to find autocross stuff is www.autocross.us and there's always Langley Speedway in Hampton for Saturday night races and the Wednesday night Time Attacks and One on One street drags for street cars.
Sweet deal. Super surprised at all these responses I got. Yea, I know about the no speeding or anything, cops will rape you here pretty much. However, I am still technically an IL resident so I'm exempt from those civil fines or what not.
My car is a silver 95 ls integra, on stance coilovers. 5 lug conversion, champ white itr 15"-ers, other than that, pretty much stock.
Car's already slammed, but exhaust is chillin with stock type r catback. Which I don't plan on changing until i move out of this lockdown state.
However, I have to put in some good time here because they're hooking me up like crazy with a lot of traveling and learning opportunities. I mean, shit they're going to pay for my schooling 100%, so i might as well cash in on that.
Well I'll have to check out some kind of car meet. Seems to me like VA Beach was ricerland, but I do see a few quality cars here and there. Keyword...... few. I haven't seen so many chromed out and body kitted POS's in my life until i moved here, lol.
Well i guess I'm not one to dictate other peoples choices, but yea wow. culture shock.

here you go mirageracer,

as for you wii,
I agree the low-key thing is cool here, but what fun is a fast grippy car without the ability to use it (daily)? I guess it just takes some getting used to, but I'm used to, at least once a month, doing a highway run about 10-15 cars deep.
Also, the style of tuning and appearance in Chicago was very true to the native Japanese tuners' styles. But once again, I must adjust to this area's style, or lack thereof. I hope people aren't offended by this, as I'm sure there are the hidden sleepers spread throughout the area, I'm just making a generalization.
So hopefully there are some meets coming up and I'll be able to meet some cool people from here.
cool cool
