With our e46 we had that exact same sound, like marbles in a can (only made the noise in the morning on a cold start) and it turned out to be a tensioner of all things.. We also had the other 'ticking/gurgling' sound or whatever coming from under the valve cover which we just dealt with.

thats ticking/ gurgling sound i have that too lol. I can almost feel it in my brake pedal when im setting at redlights.

And i changed the oil- Nothing changed at all. Oh one more question. Is there any chance the noise is my timing chain. Cause my noise is pretty loud

you NEVER said not to... I believe you said i'll enjoy it. But Ive been wrong before.

Well what about the timing chain? Could that be whats making the noise?

Its not that it really bothers me, I just dont want the timing chain to break and destroy my motor. Thats really my only worry, spending all that money then it fucking ruining the motor.
