I don't know of any special tools needed to replace the chains and tensioners. I did it plenty of times on Lightnings with none.

From the sounds of it, unless you are getting it for a steal, I wouldn't buy it. Get a 4V, so much more potential.

I'd be a little worried about the Patriot heads, also ask where it was tuned and who did it.

if you do get a stang, get the sct2 tune... i have a crown vic (4.6 2v) and i got the sct tune... it's the best tune for those motors.
