yeah, speed density doesn't only mean you use your map and RPM.

It has nothing to do with emissions, it's a very important sensor and is the other half of the way air density is calculated (the MAP sensor is the first half). Your engine won't run correctly without an accurate air temp reading, so plugging one in to get rid of a CEL is kinda stupid. Just giving the ECU a temp (different than the actual intake air temp) doesn't do anything except fool the ECU. Don't be lazy.
I kinda figured that, I was going to convert the plug to match the one on the new intake manifold. I just do not like having it my intake tube.
