ya. a good handful of ppl on preludeonline.com are running them... they are producing about.... 185-190 whp.. about 10 over a jdm h22 on average... but its not the most well tempored frankenstein ive read about.. the few doods that have htem on preludeonline having nothing but horror stories about theirs.

it aint worth it in my opinion... it looks great on paper though.

 

i'm used to the B16 head/B18 block or b16head/b20 block(CRV) soethin like that........but, the h22/23 is niiice

its not the same.

the shorter stroke of the h23 is smaller then the h22, something like 1.4X ro 1.5X.

the h23 blocks arnt bullet proof... my old h23 spun a bearing at 120k miles.

the r/s allows for slightly more torque about 1k rpms sooner then a h22 and it tapers off sooner.. but the design isnt meant to rev high. anything over about 7200-400 on a h23 will egg the rods.

it really depends on what you want to build.. you can build a nasty h23 torque machine if you wanted. but when it comes down to it.. the h22 isjust a better engine. overall it has better revving (still not super high... h's arnt meant to rev to the sky like a B series) and better flowing head. save yourself 2k bux and just get a jdm h22 i say.

 

again..i dont do to many hondas..i have had experience with the b16/18 combo...not much with h22's...i know the 22 is stout...but the 23 is torquier like you said. oh well...i'm an idiot

what if a guy with an accord has a h23 in it and he wants a stock engine? hehehehe i dont know all the details on his but i might just look into it! he allready offered to trade his intake for my stock and hes sellin me a lip for 10 bux wrong paint so ill just save it for later..

 

what are you asking? if a guy will trade you straight up a f22 for an h23... if both motors are in good shape i dont know why you are needing to ask? =]

 

thats the thing, i know my motors in great shape hell a 94 f22b1 thats had reg check ups and takin car of with less than 80k on it?

so what's ya'lls personal preference... if you were building up your car to kick some ass... would you do the frankenstein or get the JDM H22. i figure i could save money with the frankenstein and if it was close to as good or better than the H22 why not. i jus don't know anybody that's runnin that type of motor.
