Your worried about cost...drop the M3 from the list.

Thats what I wanted to hear, I was really worried about the turbo chagred engine if its high maintenance (never owned one before). I guess 02 Civic Si is out of the picture... But I hear the 02 WRX tranny sucks in the long run...

WRXs are fun as hell but if you get it...upgrade to a PPG gearset...or talk to Andrew at AndrewTech (check nasioc.com, he has a thread)

Love the M3 as well

 

I dont think mine was because of a weak tranny (it only had 4000 miles on the stock rebuild)...i think it was a fuck up on RK subarus end, Andrew at andrewtech seems to think so as well.

But i would still advise upgrading ASAP if you get the rex. PPGs are bulletproof.
