I've used an off-the-shelf clutch from Autozone before for a d16z.
I'd recommend it for the c-note I spent on it. Its usable life was about 50k miles, with minimal visits to the redline. After that the spring action became sort of vague.

Stiff clutches suck for dailies. I could only handle about 4 months with a CM Stage III with B-series before I had to replace with an Exedy.
