As most of you know my hood roof and trunk are oxidizing pretty badly. (Clearcoat missing in areas) I work at a detail shop, and almost every time you wash the car, blue paint would show up on the mitt. Well, I sacrificed some paint, buffed it with some medium cut, posished it, and waxed it. I have to wax it almost weekly, but no more paint 'leak'

Meguirs is great stuff. as far as carmax they use blue coral products

Yep, the 3 step meguiers is badass. They also make a clay bar "kit" that i've had really good results with. Clay bar and then 3 step it.
