he never said it was his first bike. Im just tired of people jumping on someone that wants a liter bike. If you havnt daily rode a liter bike and a 600 then your imput means nothing. I rode my R6 for a year and wanted something bigger. I got a R1 and have never been happier.
the subject has been beaten to death by everybody, on every forum that exsists involving motorcycles, and then some.
He wants a 1000, let it go. Nothing you can say over the internet will change what someone wants.
back to the OP: i would try to buy it private party. Dealers are going to mark it up so they can get their slice. Try craigslist, and www.wera.com in the classified section. I have found REALLY cheap bikes in there for 3 of my friends. its a good resource for bikes and parts.

you can pm me its not a 1000 but its an 2001 cbr929 full yoshmura exhaust power commander 8000 miles on frame. motor has internal work. polished wheels. i did drop it when it was raining on september 20. low speed minimal damage. replaced the cracked stator cover, slider, completeley dissassembled and cleaned motor new rings bearings hone. runs great. at the end of this week the bike custom painted at auto elite in va beach a very high dollar paint job. bike weighs 361lb dry also has new chain and new gear ratio unsure of ratio cuz it was done by previous owner the bike will stand up with very little effort but i also been 180+mph on james river bridge. it is a very fast bike torque down low + short wheel base = good stunt bike. pm me for more info if intrested

I have sold those bikes about same milage and they sold for a little cheaper but the warranty is worth it so that is good

A unlimited mileage engine warranty gives the buyer a nice warm fuzzy since of security when buying a used bike...... when you buy a used bike from an individual and it blows the motor 1 hour, 3 days, 1month or even 6 months later youre screwed.........
