sc/turbo ls1's can put down well over 800rwhp without the bottle

anyway, nice numbers wagz, i'll be sure to check out the article when it comes out

thanks guys - i just got back at 5am from the 8hr drive home from the tuners. She's back home and safe. I have to take her back to the paintshop on monday so she can get wetsanded and buffed plus a few minor imperfections out.

Thanks 4 the good words.....and i'll give drag va another hint.....she laid down between 700-800rwhp

Eh, i dunno about 800 from just a turbo/sc

I should have been a bit more specific. MOST FI ls1s don't even break 500 to the wheels, unless they seriously turn up the boost...which they can Stock c5 don't even break 325 to the wheels, not sure how they'd hit 800 without a stroker/nitrous

the standard magnason is usually only good for about 100 extra hp, the LP TT for 200+

800, pretty rare, but there are a few...500-650, a bit more common/realistic

vr6, that's not exactly what I was saying- 500rwhp from a stock ls1 bottom end is about the norm. I was talking about ls1s with a built bottom end and FI (since stock is not good more more than ~7lbs). although I've never seen anyone stay with the stock displacement after a rebuild, I'm sure it can be done and still get 800rwhp from that block. hell, theres a guy with a built 427 iron block in a c4 putting down 1200hp/1000tq, so I'm sure 800rwhp wouldn't be much of a problem.

I jacked wagz thread

nod, it is indeed possible...the hp per litre potential on those things is incredible

i agree, 500 is about the norm

would love to see a run between wagz and a sprayed 427

Yea, its a strong motor, with much potential, but you also must realize he is spraying to get these numbers, so he has 2 power adders, and on a turbo setup nitrous gets even more HP than the shot calls for. Not downplaying wagz a bit, just saying it isnt JUST a FI car, but rather has a combo of 2 power adders.
