Bmw M3
Although used E36 M3s are not impossible to come by, they don't grow on trees around here. Your best bet would be to get on Autotrader or something like it and do a search.
Buying it from the dealer is not necessarily the best way to get one and it is definately not the cheapest. The important thing is to have the car checked out properly before you buy it.

A&G had a blue 98 auto M3 not too long ago, one of the employees had the gall to bring it to PTOWN and beat on it, and then put it back on the lot the next day asking 20 grand. Ebay is your best bet, there are usually 10-15 nice ones but you may have to go out of state for it.
hey Trip..
I get my car back from the shop this weeek!!!!!!!! I'll give it a nice 500 mile break in, put on my new wheels and see what this beast can do
To the original poster:
One thing I can tell you about E36 M3's..
You see, M3 engines produce a nice amount of torque and factory transmission mounts don't keep up and shift just enough so that say you are shifting from 3rd to 4th at WOT, you might come back into 2nd and your motor suddenly spins to 10,000 rpms and if you're like me end up spending $8500 to fix it. So your first mod should be UUC transmission reinforments.
But these cars are incredible, the E36 chassis 95-99 offer a feel that the newer E46 counterparts cannot begin to achieve. If you have any other questions.. please don't hesitate to ask, as most the E36 guys I know are tue enthusiast and are more than willing to share what we know about our machines. BTW guys let's get together soon!

Vortech, would you be interested in buying a 95 M3 with a fresh motor and AA turbo already installed?

Umm. lets see all rubber items will need to be changed out on older cars (bushings and such), driveshaft guibos(flex disc) are a common wear point also. Expect to spend some money installing new brakes and maybe a new clutch. I'd also watch out for 96 and up cars with the digital climate control, they sometimes fail (95's had more precise analog controls). I'd also watch for cars where the owners are selling too cheap.. most times these cars have some history you want no part of... That's all I can think of now, it's gettin late..
