I got my first bike w/o test riding it. I had the owner drive it around the block. All seemed fine.

Its not common. Just let the owner do a lap, that's what they do when you get a bike repaired.
You can also buy used bikes or unused previous model year bikes at a dealer and they'll probably tell you if its in good condition or not.

[QUOTE=seventytimes7;4042323]Yes man, get one too! I need someone to ride with, call me as soon as you get it. I take the MSC on the 2nd so it will be a couple weeks until I can ride. And thanks for the responses I am waiting for an e-mail back from the seller.[/QUOTE

I hope to have my bike by then. We will see though.

I am still waiting to see what you have. You never responded to my message about your inventory.

i've never test ridden a bike and i've owned close to 50 bikes. and when i sell them, no test rides. i tell the customer to give me the $$ sign a bill of sale, sign the title and then give it to him, and say, " now that it's yours 100%, go ride it and if you don't think something is right, bring it right back and i'll give your money back and go get a duplicate title."
