Advice On Removing Shitty Cheap & Broken Wheel Locks
I normally use my cheap sears brand impact hammer with a punch bit. You angle the punch in the direction that will loosen the nut. A few hits is all it usually take to loosen the nut enough to take it off by hand. Best of all there is no damage to the stud.
i bought a 12 point 3/4 socket from pepboys and then justs pounded it on with a mallet, i also have a gsx eclipse. then used a breaker bar and got it off, it took a bit of hammering but i got it on and then took it off without messing up my rims
Just for a follow up of what I did.
I drilled out the center of the wheel lock, took a 3/8" extension, hammered it into the hole and the wheel locks came right off. Didn't mess up the stud at all.
Took about 2 minutes a wheel lock.... talk about somewhat scary. I guess if a theif wants your wheels bad enough, there is always a way to get them.
