So many dickholes. VA has licensed registration reps for imported cars...

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...list010807.htm

You gotta get in touch with VA reps.

BTW, he never said it wasnt a GTR. 1995 2.6 Skyline...

If it is a 2.6 litre it is a GT-R, unless it's been swapped.

All right so this is what I've got. The gtr cannot be imported, the only skyline you can import is a 96-98 r33 gts(http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...elig050108.pdf). At Va dmv I think all you have to do is register it as a custom car(http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/c...onstructed.asp)
I need to figure out this whole custums thing though.

The dmv web link didn't turn out how I wanted it.

Allright so I finally got a hold of someone at customs , this skyline thing is deff. do-able. Its only 2.5% of the cars value that you have to pay to customs, so if you get the car for 10k thats only $250. I even got the tariff # from them.

So whats left? Is there emission standards that I have to meet? If the car is on the import list than it should be up to standard , right?

You haven't done your homework yet. You obviously haven't read the links that people posted.
Just because you can import a car doesn't mean that you can register it as a street legal vehicle and drive it on the street. Seriously, emissions is the easy part. Ever wonder why there isn't lot of JDM and EDM cars is this country?
