FRAM oil filters? Are they really as good as they say, or as bad?
yeah honeywell makes the honda/acura filters. but honda gives them certain specifications to meet to pass oem standards on their cars. i would assume that the fram filters may not have the same internal quality because they do not need to meet the same reliability standards to make them sell, other than a cost concern.

I run a Mobil 1 extended performance filter in my truck with Mobil 1 15,000 mile extended performance oil and change it every 10k.
In the Corvette I run Amsoil 5w40 with a K&N racing oil filter.

the internals are made of a card board type material but they have never let me down the only reason the retail guys are talking shit is cause they want you to buy the house brand...
or maybe because Fram just is'nt that good. We're not saying that Fram filters will just fall off, we're saying thet just don't do as good of a job filtering as other brands.
