Yah in Virginia Beach around the Holland and TCC VB area, heavy haze/smoke and the smell is quite distinct and heavy.

there was a nice haze over the base yesterday. havent seen this since i lived in cali, where wildfires scorched the hills and valleys along 101 and half the state damn near every year.

I think it's gone now; I'm not smelling anything currently. I figured the prevailing winds would have the smoke blowing out to sea more than bringing it up here.

Yeah, it looks like it's starting to clear up around Oceana. Definitely nasty though.
