just rent a machine and buy some soap. most groceries stores have machines for rent, just rent one for 24hrs and do it yourself.
Worst advice you can give.
Those machines are horrible and just dirty your carpet more. They do not have enough suction to suck up all the soap, so it leaves your carpet really sticky and attracts dirt 5x as fast. If you do use it though, use only half of the soap that it asks for. That is why the carpet never stays clean long after you shampoo it.
Any carpet cleaning products bought from a grocery store is bad for your carpet. More soap does not = good, more soap is actually bad. Resolve is one of the worst products you can use since it leaves bleach spots on your carpet after awhile/if you get it steemed cleaned. It can also turn it green.
If you buy carpet cleaning products, make sure it is water based product and not a soap base. Stanley steamer uses about 95% steam and 5% water based solution.
um, I used one last year, and my carpet=still clean. I mean sure, dont rent a dirty machine but wow @ your generalization.
Well, most people would associate more soap=more clean. But it doesnt. If you have ever seen a real cleaning machine you would be surprised at the power it has and how big it is.
Its like the power difference between a blow dryer and a gas powered leaf blower.
Oh, and Davis Professional is the guys I use. Tell them the carpet guy told you to call.
