I went thru harley davidson insurance for my f4i. They don't just insure harleys or cruisers, all forms of bikes are welcome. They offer and underwriting? service. You call them up and they search thru all their available insurance companies and get you the best quote. I tried looking at geico and progessive and both wanted over $2000 for full coverage, but Harley Davidson ended up getting me set up with Foremost (member of Farmer's Insurance group) for $1700, or about $2-400 less than all the other quotes I got. Plus, if you ever happen to find yourself against the insurance company you get thru Harley Davidson, you'll have the help from Harley Davidson in resolving any issues.

USAA is a progressive policy, ask them next time you talk to them.

I called around to everyone and Progressive ended up being the cheapest (was $20 cheaper calling just Progressive than going through USAA to Progressive).

I went with progressive but the agent got it for me for half what I was quoted on my car and when I had to renew on my bike it cost me less to start a new policy with the agent than renewing directly with progressive

$256 a year is about as low as it gets on my 07 yzf600

I tried a few:

1) Geico = Not bad, but nearly double Progressive on my '01 F4i. I actually used them for about 1 month before I got my in-person progressive quote. They were at $960/year for my '01 F4i with Comprehensive and Liability

2) State Farm = Crazy High (even though I have my cars and condo through them). They wanted $770 for just liability on an '01 600CC bike (they dont take into account it being an R6 or 600R, just the displacement).

3) Farmers = $1k+ for Comp and Liability on the F4i

Now I am with Progressive. They were $480/year with a $50 deductible for the F4i for Comp and Liability. Now with my '07 600RR they are at $780/year for Comp and Liability with a $250 deductible. I havent shopped around since getting the RR, but I assume they are still going to be the lowest based upon my previous comparisons.

FWIW, I am newly 23 (22 when given the above quotes), unmarried, with a clean record for 3+ years.
