Duane? This is Corey (from Hop's back in the day).

What if the pipe has multiple cats? Do I need to cut the pipe so I can get the money for each one?

Up here I usually get $75 per cat, $30 for precats. I don't know anyone around where I live that buys them for $100+. Id like to meet that person lol. GM cats are bookoo bucks.

scrapyards are buying junk vehicles for $10+ per 100 lbs. 4000 lb. car = $400

You can basically make at least $500 off any complete car these days. Radiators, starters, alternators, electric motors, and all non-ferrous metals are worth good money.

So which one of you guys was arrested?

http://www.wavy.com/global/story.asp...01&srvc=latest

SUFFOLK, VA. (WAVY.com) -- Police in Suffolk tell WAVY.com they arrested three people for a series of catalytic converter larcenies in the city. According to police, there have been 12 larcenies since April. Six of them occurred in residential areas; the others occurred in parking lots.

Police say mostly Toyota SUV's and pick-up trucks have been targeted.

On July 9th, a School Resource Officer noticed a gold Nissan leaving Kings Fork Middle School, wtih three passengers. The officer observed those same people around a teacher's vehicle earlier. The teacher's vehicle appeared to be undamaged. But upon furthur investigation, it was discovered the catalytic converter had been stolen.

Police tell WAVY.com A short time later, a second School Resource Officer observed the suspect vehicle turn onto Rt. 10 from Rt. 58. Officers followed the vehicle and pulled it over, on Lake Prince Rd. Police identified the passengers in the vehicle as the same subjects that had committed the larceny at Kings Fork Middle. A 16 month old child in the vehicle at the time of the stop was turned over to a family member.

After interviewing the suspects, police determined they had committed numerous catalytic converter thefts in Suffolk. In the most recent case, the males had dropped the female off at work and drove around stealing converters as they babysat the 16 month old child.

David Bone, 27, Nicholas Villi, 26, and Tiffany Holt, 22, are each facing a long list of charges, including Grand Larceny, Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny, Larceny with Intent to Sell and Possession of Burglary Tools.

In addition to the above charges, police tell WAVY.com they are also considering child endangerment charges.

The Chesapeake and Windsor Police Departments assisted with the investigation.
