Im sure you know this, but tell the wife. If you do a little research on the net a APBT is one of the BEST dogs to own with small kids around. They scored slightly HIGHER than a lab on the temperment test The small dog you have is prob. 10 times more likely to bite than you big bully! But all dogs are diffrent. I would love to see pics, i have a thing for the edge dogs! I have a Remy line Male know, hes something else at only 8 months.......

 

Yeh I agree with you on the small dog, the little one has bitten me who knows how many times, the Pit has never even thought about it. It's just the fact that he's a big lapdof and wants to climb all over you, I guess, who knows WTF she is thinking

 

Because it is a Pitbull, and there is a reason they have a reputation. No matter how many people come in here and say that it is not the breed, it is the training.

You are making the right choice, the dog could be perfectly well trained. However you cannot train away instinct.
