OMG OMG Im going just for the comedy.

 

So the boys and girls club are going through CC for car shows now!? $20 is a lot for a parking lot show! I put one on for them last aug. with best buy as the main sponser, and I raised them $26,000 for our one show, and we were dissapointed. Big VW meet going on in maryland on the same day. We had to use the local fairgrounds as well, all the cars wouldnt have fit in the busy best buy parking lot on any day. To small and to busy for expecting as many cars as we were. Teckademics did the photoshoot for there calender at the show after the event was over too. Cars and models, gotta love it! The vender row was pretty nice as well. We oversold that though. Local shops, password jdm, Xm radio ect. Will you have any vendors there? I purchased a bunch of stuff at the show myslef, and the venders gave away a lot of free stuff as well. The bike dyno was also awsome, we do that a lot though. We even had thet at our meets (vendors and dyno's).

I believe Best buy is putting one on this year solo without external help, (Mid Atlantic Mega Meet), thats why no one has heard of it. I think it's a few weeks after yours in NOVA. Good luck with your meet/show.

 

so what your saying is Best Buy > Circuit City when it comes to making money even with car shows?

 

No I'm just saying that the Mid Atlantic Mega Meet puts on a great event, everytime, for every cause. We just happened to do that one with Best Buy for the Boys and Girls clubs in NOVA.

We had a HIN set up in a building as well with one of our 2 D.J.'s that had tv's/ lights ect, and a couple live bands and a bunch of food vendors as well. 50 trophys total. We will see how Best Buy does solo this year.
