We just did whole house audio and video in a house in Governor's Point in Suffolk that has a basement, sort of. From the front of the house you only see 3 floors but you can go downstairs and walk out of the basement.

 

you can build a basement in williamsburg even if you live on the water...

 

You just have to find a piece of land with a hill then you can have a walk out basement

 

You sure about that? My parents are 95% finished with building there (in governors land) and my old man said they were not allowed to dig down.

 

I know in kings mill it is, but since governers land has 2 rivers right by it or through it kind of, and you probably cant there. We are brickin a house in kings mill with a basement right now, and bricking a house in governors land(rivers reach i believe)

 

Basements are generally not feasible here. You will have to build a dedicated theater above ground most likely.

 

just get a hill in your back yard and build a bomb shelter

 

norfolk has lots of basements.... and some places in hampton but it will be the getto or a house that is over 100 years old.

 

Older houses might have basements. I know my grandfathers has a basement.
