All I can say is CAI ftl...
Oh shit, I remember posting this when you asked about it before it blew: "Yes, I blew an engine in an integra one time a couple months after putting on a CAI and losing the fender liner. Snow and rain can fuck that shit up fast."

That sucks. Bypass filters don't always work either, not if u get into enough rain/snow.

Sorry to hear...Good luck man.

I'm not sure how that could be true, but OK. You'd have to submerge or block the bypass too. Not going to happen.

i would be more worried about being trapped in the car and flood damage since the water level would have to be upto your door for the bypass to not work.

Well, maybe so, either way, I would never leave my filter open like that and count on something so small and inexpensive to protect my engine. It's happened to me once, not happening again.

You might wanna try this:

take out your plugs and wires, and try to start it. Of course it isn't gonna start, but if the water hasn't sunken in too deep, you may be able to push a good amount of it out.

If that does work, you might wanna run one of those gas treatments that help remove water from the engine and what not.

Good luck.

I'd yank the head, hit it with a shop vac, drain the oil, and check everything for damage. I wouldn't risk any further damage by trying to turn it over; you don't know what's wrong right now and it may have bent valves (not likely), broken rods, etc. It might be be easily fixed the way it is now, but if you start cranking it over, that may change very quickly.. Tear down and inspect it.

Oh, don't forget to wipe the wet bores down with oil just as a rust preventative precaution once the head is off.

add bore and stroke...
then short ram intake with a heat shield...
and avoid water like the plague...
