Car won't stay running long enough in gear to go anywhere. How do i check for a bad torque converter? Trans fluid is good. Holla back

Don't know what the fuel pressure is or the timing. My question to you is will that cause my car to shut off? I ask cause it starts up like a champ and it do seems like it is idle a lil high but nothing that really concerns me.

The thing that makes tech talk a good forum to get info from is knowing that if you ask something, the people that reply are knowledgable in the area of the question. So if you don't know anything about domestics, especially classics then just don't reply. Simple as that.
