Supra Turbo S-AFC bad issues!!
Yeah I wanna try that, too. But I don't understand why the engine would flood instantly a positive manifold pressure over a boos leak. I could understand if it ran WAY rich in boost, but completely flooded?
because you are holding pressure in the pipes until right when it hits boost, then the hold lets go and you let air out. the air you're letting out was already metered by the MAF, so you're dumping fuel for x amount of air when all you're really getting is (x amount of air - air let out by the boost leak). at least thats what was happening on my del sol at first. it would pull hard as shit to 2-3 psi, then as soon as i hit 3 psi it would start to leak and the car would bog hard as hell and slow down. it doesnt really sound like thats your only problem though...
you said that the afc read boost until after you re-initialized it? that sounds like you've got a setting diff now unless you messed with some wires. what setting i dont know, since im not really great with my s-afc myself. that may have something to do with the problem...i think you should try to get the car to a dyno and have a tuner look over it with you.

Sounds like a great possibility, on the dyno I can check for boost leak, thanks! I have also considered that a sensor isn't set right in the AFC, I'm thinking maybe the guy who installed the S-AFC put the sensors on different channels than the instructions I downloaded, so it's not getting all the info it should. More to come tonight after I try tuning this afternoon.
Does the car have a FCD or BCC?
If you had a vacuum leak the car would have trouble running at all. If you want to bring the car by my house this weekend, I can tell you everything that may be wrong and anything that may come up in the future.
Behind the MR2, I have more experience with the MKIV Supra than any other car. I did a LOT of MKIV work while I was at Titan Motorsports.

You are on stock fuel and the safc is the only tuning tool you have? i.e. no vpc, gcc, fcd etc?
If so I would think you can just zero out the safc and the car should run. The safc does not read boost. It will read airflow which might be what you are confusing it with.
What you're saying sounds like fuel cut which would make sense without an fcd, but not not at 0 bar. I think you are confused though when you say that it happens as soon as it reaches 0 bar beacuse as soon as you open the throttle your boost gauge should read 0 bar.

FYI-Supras don't run FCDs, they run BCCs. I highly doubt the car does not have one. Merf, if you want to check if you have a BCC pull up the carpet under the passenger side mat. Next unscrew the ECU cover and you should see a black Greddy box. I highly doubt that is the problem.

Yes, the bad girl is up again. Turns out (you ready for this crap!?), I DID have an intercooler hose loose...ok, more like half off. So, thank you for the MAF/MAP suggestions. When I thought about it I realized that they were sensing all the air the turbo was pulling in and the AFC was just adding fuel to it...only the air wasn't making it to the engine, so it was just overwhelmed with fuel and flooded right away. All better now! Thanks again for EVERYONE'S help! As EK_CRS said...now on to the good stuff.
Now where to go this weekend to show it off?!-MerF.
