So, what exactly do people get out of having high rep on this site? I usually see people with more rep, are usually more assholes to everyone than people with less. That's just my speculation though.

ok now I'm even more confused. Thanks to whoever gave me more rep, but how did one person practically double my rep? Is rep worth more coming from someone who has more or something? That would explain why so many people have so much I guess, because I have a shitload of rep, it just doesn't add up to jack shit. I had like 45 total from like 10 people, then one more person gave me rep and it knocked me up to 108.

But rep is more or less for fun on this site. Too much of a 'mob mentality' to make it useful.
