bobber project value???
3-4K give or take. It depends on who wants it.
You should finish it. it'll probably take another 10k to get it looking and running sweet. That's buying new engine and parts. Much cheaper if you go used.
Complete, it'll be worth 20k +

yeah ive already been looking for a wrecked harley on insurance auctions...if not i also listed it on craigslist for 3500 obo....so i guess thats a decent starting price...
With a new motor, damn nice paint, and a bunch of chrome.... A lot of idiots pay well over 20-40k for custom bobbers or those eye-sore cookie cutter "choppers".
It'll take some time and effort though. Maybe I was a little high with 20+ but you could get close. Or just finish it up simple as possible and sell it for 13-15K.

well, look at it like this, you can buy a damn near turn-key sucker punch bobber for under 15k, and that's all new parts. If you were going to finish it just to sell it, you'd probably lose money unless you find some screaming deals on the rest of the parts you need. Trust me, from experience, all the lil odds-n-ends you're gonna need to get that thing ridable will nickel and dime you to DEATH. parts, even crappy made parts, for american bikes are freakin expensive as hell compared to japanese stuff. I never did understand how mfr's can justify selling a set of freakin GRIPS for $175. That's just crazy.
and that is why I will NEVER own an american bike. too much damn money. I have a complete bike that cost me less to build from the ground up than the cost of a USED harley motor (generally) alone.
besides, my jap bikes starts first kick every time, doesn't leak a drop, and makes more HP per CC than pretty much any streetable american bike.
Is the frame actually TITLED or just has an MSO? If it's got a legit title, you may get more for it, if only because the buyer won't have to go thru the hassle of getting thru the crap thru DMV/the state inspectors to get it on the road legally.
