won't/can't justify 800 or even close to it for a swap with a fucked up transmission.
regardless if its the "3rd blocking ring" - its still the syncronizers. and if the syncros are going, and he hasn't even ATTEMPTED to maintain them in some kind of way, without proof of documentation?
Seller claims he's ASE certified... Well... to my knowledge, certified mechanics upkeep with maintenance on a REGULAR basis.
show me some documentation, then MAYBE i can justify the $800. until then, my offer is $350 for it. if you don't want it, good luck with the sale, and anyone else whose interested in this post, make sure to get the details of the transmission.
Neglecting to mention at the tranny is an XSi in your posting (b17 GSR Transmission), and just trying to pawn off your blown crap to someone, is pretty fucked up.
represent some documentation. Otherwise, your engine & tranny aren't worth a damn without some kind of proof to represent at LEAST the mileage.
