I think that no matter if you pay for your car and insurance yourself you are always going to have people that are going to tell you how to drive and what you should do to your car. The part about being an adult is being able to say I don't care what you tell me, it's my car and I will drive it the way I want. Also, part of being an adult is not whining about every bit of criticism that you get about how you drive. So, in my opinion, stop whining and drive how you want to drive.
